Wintergreen Resort Terrain Park Event Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement

I want to participate in some or all of the Terrain Park Events held at Wintergreen Resort on the date indicated above. I understand that there are inherent risks associated with these events, some of which are described below. These risks can lead to serious injury or death. Only I can decide whether or not to accept these risks. To the extent I chose to participate in one or more of these events, I assume all of the risks that such events, equipment, and terrain may present. I understand that these risks include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collision with terrain features, other participants, spectators, or other objects.
  • Changes in terrain or conditions including those caused by weather, use of the facility by participants and snow grooming.
  • Losing balance and falling, especially while negotiating challenging or unusual terrain features.

In addition to common sense and courtesy, I will observe the following rules:

  • I will alert Wintergreen to any unreasonably dangerous conditions.
  • I will obey all instructions of the event coordinator and event staff.
  • I will not engage in careless or reckless behavior.

I have read this document, and I understand and agree to what I am signing.

If Participant is under 18, a parent or guardian must also sign. As parent/guardian signing this agreement for the above named minor, I acknowledge and agree I have read this document and by signing this document on behalf of the minor, the minor and I agree to be bound by it’s terms. I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Wintergreen Partner’s Inc., its employees, affiliates, and any event sponsors from any claim, injury, damage or other liability arising out of my own or said minor’s participation in this event/events. I authorize the medical treatment and/or transportation of my child to a hospital or other medical facility if necessary.
