CHARLOTTESVILLE
Our flagship store is located in Charlottesville and has been
serving the area for over 20 years. Our store manager is Zander
Hendrick. Many of you have already met him, but if you haven't
you definitely should. Zander is a long time kayaker, tele-skier,
skier, snowboarder, and wakeboarder (yeah, he's a pseudo-hippy).
Have you ever seen a tele-skier try to hit the rails in the park!?
If not, next time you are in the Charlottesville store you should
ask him about it. In all seriousness, we are very fortunate to
have such an experienced store manager that takes such a keen
interest in the sports that we promote.
The owner Sepp Kober can be found at our flagship store in Charlottesville.
That is, when he's not traveling to trade shows, attending ski
industry committee meetings, traveling to one of the other 3 stores,
or working one of the many demos or boardercrosses up at Wintergreen.
Yes, he still finds some time to get out and carve some enormous
GS turns. Sepp used to race back in the day and he still maintains
his PSIA instructor certification. If you see a quick blur fly
by you on the slopes one day, you can be pretty sure that it was
him.
Freestyle's shop technician in Charlottesville is Duane Brown.
Duane has been working for Freestyle for more than 15 years. He's
the long haired guy that loves to skateboard. He's been skateboarding
for more than 25 years and he's been snowboarding for more than
20 years. Jake Burton has nothing on Duane! If Duane's not in
the back shop tuning and repairing skis and snowboards, you can
find him in the park at Wintergreen. He still goes big, even though
his bones are getting brittle! If it's warm out you can bet that
he is on the miniramp behind the Charlottesville store or out
doing a photo shot with some of our sponsored skateboard riders.
